Lessons Learned from Steven Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”
In 2007, Steve Covey published his life-changing book: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
What is it about habits that is so life-changing?
Why would my second #brand30 post be about habits?
It’s simple, change cannot happen without change. There is a saying that people don’t change until the pain to stay the same is greater than the pain to change. I’ve met so many great folks in the #brand30 cohort. People starting businesses, changing careers, worried about age discrimination, fearful, excited and on the list goes. Andrew Mewborn has created an environment where change can happen. And changing we are!
My favorite of the 7 Habits is number 2 – begin with the end in mind!
When you start thinking about #connectforlife and #touchpoints you must begin with the end in mind. It is often said that you cannot manage what you do not measure.
Go back and look at my original post and begin tracking your progress! My experience is that 40 – 50 points will lead to real progress in having real meetings! Try to track your points every week and see what kind of progress you can make over a week!
